While the story in itself is interesting, it is somewhat puzzling why such a localized story is receiving international media coverage. In other countries, such as Italy and Russia, organized crime is much more ubiquitous and influential but receives minimal coverage.
Overall, the narration in this brief piece is extremely hyperbolic, speaking about "mob wars [that] have plagued Israeli cities" and the potential unleashing of "an all-out [mob] war in Israel's increasingly violent underworld." While there is a real problem with organized crime in Israel, such descriptions do not accurately relay the reality of the situation, which is not nearly as dire.

Great point on hyperbole. Even better one on why it's a news story..when mafia violence plagues a place like Russia far worse, yet is unreported in the media.
