By Mark Landler
A8
Landler subtly advocates the notion that "putting pressure on the Israeli government" is the key to a peace agreement. Aaron David Miller provides the expected, requisite quote affirming that notion. The notion and A.D. Miller's supporting quote are meant to convey the impression that Hillary is surely good for Israel but has to prove that she is good for the Arabs. This framework is unsubstantiated.
Strangely, Landler characterizes Suha Arafat's 1999 statement about Israeli forces - cited in paragraph 14 - as an accusation rather than what it actually was - an anti-Semitic libel.
At the close of the piece, A.D. Miller even offers Hillary directives from the sidelines. Hopefully, that is where he will remain during the Obama administration.
Right. Suha Arafat didn't just "deliver an inflammatory remark on ISRAELI POLICIES".
